Explore Northern California Lakes & Small Streams!

There are numerous lakes in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties that provide excellent stillwater fishing.

The weed beds & bottom structure in these lakes frequently provide sight fishing opportunities for cruising brown & rainbow trout.

Prolific hatches of midge & damsel flies can provide exciting dry fly angling anytime of the day.

The small streams that flow into and exit these lakes are also exceptional fisheries. Most of these meadow streams meander through aspen groves and beaver ponds with Mount Shasta looming skyward in the distance. Fishing pressure in this area of the state is minimal and brown trout come readily to the dry fly.
